Antique Ivory Travelers Thermometer
Diminutive Ivory Thermometer, with Original Leather Case. Mercury thermometer in leather & wooden tombstone-style case, brass hinge hook & eye clasp, small ring for wear on pocket chain/necklace. English made, circa 1790.


Early 19th Century
1828 J. Speyer Dutch Thermometer
Marked '1828 J. Speyer ". Walnut or mahogany frame, with pitched roof molding atop, paper dial with float glass cover. Red-dyed alcohol thermometer. CHS LL vs. Remer (Left), Fahrenheit (Right) -16F to 112F. Amsterdam temperature histories with dates. Written in Dutch (Amsterdam).

Woods Anemometer by Late Abraham & Co.
Very early model. Engraving of 'Woods Late Abraham & Co.' signature vs. more widely circulated, later pieces signed 'Abraham & Co' or 'Woods Abraham'. Circa 1870-1880. Marked: AIR METER, No.293

Leslie's Differential Thermometer
Circa 1870-1899. Italian made, unsigned. Excellent condition, complete original. Originally invented by John Leslie in the early 1800's; Differential Thermometers are used to measure variations in temperature.

European Mercury Thermometer (R/C)
Rankin and Celsius scales (not centigrade), carved Oak frame with ornate, etched brass face. German-silver cage protecting the bulb, Range -20 to 50 (C).

Louis XVI-Style French Spiral Bulb Thermometer
Detailed cast-brass bow & frame. Blue-spirit working fluid, squirrel-tailed bulb thermometer, & kickstand base. Fahrenheit scale. Crafted of fine Walnut. Beveled porcelain scale, displaying 10-100 degree range.

Mid-20th Century
Short & Mason Tyco's Thermometer
An interesting Fahrenheit and Centigrade thermometer in mahogany tombstone-style base, alcohol thermometer, with semi-circular brass ring protecting bulb. Marked 'Short & Mason, London' 'Tycos' 'Made in Great Britain'.

Kueffel & Esser NY Anemometer
Engraved at the Bottom of the Brass Base. Features in-and-out airflow with reset switch, c.1900-1940.


20th Century
Hilger & Watts Water Current Meter
Water Current Meters were used by civil and hydro engineers to measure river (moving water) velocities and determine flow for use in river catchment management, water supply calculations, and flood management. Used during WW2, American.

Weather Measure Corp. Water Current Meter
Vintage Water Current Meter Complete Boxed Set by Weather Measure Corp. Circa 1930-1940’s. Rotor current meters, such as this, utilized the instruments propeller to accurately measure the rate of flow in water currents. Complete original. Good condition.
