A diminutive late-18th Century Ivory Thermometer, with Original Leather Case. Mercury thermometer. Leather covered, wooden tombstone style case, with brass hinge hook & eye clasp, small brass ring for wear on pocket chain or necklace. Velvet-lined housing. Original silk string on Ivory-faced thermometer. Temperatures in Fahrenheit and Remer from 20-100F. Blood heat, summer heat, temperate, freezing. English made, circa 1790.
