Short & Mason Early Tyco's Thermometer, c.1907-1931

An interesting Fahrenheit and Centigrade thermometer in mahogany tombstone-style base, alcohol thermometer, with semi-circular brass ring protecting bulb. Marked 'Short & Mason, London', 'Tyco's', and 'Made in Great Britain'. 

The Taylor Instrument Company traded under 'Tyco's' from 1907-1931, having already acquired Short & Mason in 1900. This piece dates from post-acquisition, and before the 1932 rebranding of Tyco's to 'Taylor'.
