Old Hollywood Hi-Lite Spotlight by W. Beattie, Los Angeles (1910-1920)
An excellent, functional piece of Old Hollywood Americana- this Hi-Lite Spotlight by W. Beattie was created for cinema and theatrical productions in Los Angeles, circa 1910-1920. This incredibly early model, features the scarce black enameling with red pinstripe accents. The lamp's height and angle can be adjusted, with a side plate that opens for access to light bulb. Complete with original wheels, and restored wiring. This piece is in great condition with expected wear from age and use on exterior.
"J.W. Beattie was a division of the Otto K. Olesen Company, the Danish illumination engineer who was the first to provide lighting used during the shooting of motion pictures inside a studio."
