Incredibly fine 19th Century French Black Walnut European Graphoscope. Superb optics, with original lenses & mirror. Functional knob to adjust lens distance. Very high quality. Rack & pinion focus mechanism. Hinged top with fitted mirror for adjustable lighting, with frosted glass window. Elegant, late 19th century (circa 1890's), European made. For use with 3.00"x5.25" stereo slides. 

Devices such as this were used to display & share images of travel, moments of historical significance, and family memories. Purchased in Athens, Greece.
