1895 Monography Gilded Crystal Globe Banquet Lamp by Edward Miller

An excellent late-19th century American Astral (Globe) Lamp. A very early piece- this lamp is dated 1893 on both burner and reservoir. This exact design was later patented by Edward Miller in 1895. The dating on this piece indicates an incredibly early, pre-patented model. This lamp is labeled 'New Juno No. 2' and features all pierced brass. A four-clawed base supports an ornate 18" Corinthian-pillar style stand, above which a round engraved oil-reservoir houses an adjustable, singe-wick burner. Original 12" glass chimney.
