Imperial Russian Red-Font Mahogany Peg Lamp Pair

Early 19th century pair of Peg lamp's with hand-blown glass font's in rich Russian Red fitted on felt-lined Mahogany pegs. One of the knobs interestingly feature the Official Crest of Tsar Alexander I of Russia, The Romanov Imperial Double-Crested Eagle. 

This piece would have been commissioned for personal or official use inside a royal palace, apartment, administrative building, or presented as a gift from the royal family family. Circa 1800-1825.
