Antique, English-made brooch comprised of 31 natural Garnets, 4.54 total carat weight over 14K gold plated sterling silver. At it's center lies a 1 carat, round-cut Garnet, surrounded by a 1.5-carat flower of 6 Marquise-cut Garnets. At the brooch's corners are 6 additional Marquise-cut Garnets, weighing 0.9 carats. The corners are connected with 1.14 carats in 18 Garnets, of rotating sizes to complete the outer halo. This Victorian Era piece is dated by it's use of C-clasp closure, and a '1859' engraving.
