19th Century Holborn Champagne Tap

Antique 1877 Champagne Tap, Soda Tap, Holborn Style Tap- An early collectible English champagne tap made in the late 19th century and designed to penetrate the cork without actually opening it.

Marked with "Holborn Champagne Screw", this variation of tap features an ebonized wood handle with a nickel-plated brass finger pull & tap mechanism. This design was made to save carbonation, thus elongating the champagne's life-cycle.
