These wooden Diptychs feature original ornate paper faces, jeweled dials, compass glass & string gnomons. All in functioning order.

1790 Kleininger Diptych
Made in Fürth, Germany circa 1790 by Johann Georg Kleininger (1763-1824), ornate design & lovely hand-coloured detail. Featuring a gazeteer on cover for 22 American & European cities. String gnomon designed for use near 50 degree latitude. Signed 'Kleininger' on compass rose. Original, authentic, & functioning piece.

An incredibly rare Diptych with lovely green ornate detail work. Likely an unsigned piece by David Beringer. Fantastic coloration due to excellent long-term storage, minimal discoloration from oxidation.

Early 19th Century Unsigned French Diptych. An unsigned piece likely by a renowned maker. Incredibly high quality piece. Hand-coloured detailed paper face on Fruitwood, with original silk gnomon, and inset compass with blued-needle on jewelled pivot.
