Edwardian 1916 Sterling Silver Leaded Crystal Locking Spirit Decanter & Key

A handsome, bespoke, and scarce piece- Antique 1916 Sterling Silver Whiskey/Spirit Decanter.  Lead crystal decanter showcases hallmarked Sterling Silver, maker's marks, and sprung lockable ball stopper. Working lock & tassel key. Fantastic condition. Large size & ornate cut crystal.

Hallmarks/Stamped: 

1. Makers Mark: oval shaped, oval shaped, ornate 'C' lettering  

2. Town Mark: Vertical Anchor (Birmingham) 

3. Quality Mark: Lion Passant guardant  (walking lion with left facing head, English Silver- post 1822 )

4. Date Letter: r (1916)

5. RD No. 6 (British Registration Design Number- 6th item registered that year)
