Tiffany & Co. Tantalus Set with Lock & Key

An immensely scarce Limited Edition Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Tantalus Set, with original lock and key. Circa 1920's-1930's. An incredibly rare Sterling Silver flat-top frame is unlocked to trigger a spring-loaded mechanism allowing for rotation of frame-top and the removal of glass decanters inside. 

Created by Tiffany & Co. in collaboration with T.G. Hawkes & Co.; fine crystal makers out of Corning, NY. Barrel-style crystal decanters are hand-blown with a Diamond-cut pattern on a rectangular grid.
