A fine pair of original antique Engineers lamp made in Copenhagen. These adjustable, single burner lamps feature branded knobs & serialized front plates. Original chimneys with half-frosted globe/astral shades. The cylindrical reservoirs are connected to handles that also feature mounting holes. Ensuring maximum ease of use, engineers would be able to utilize these as hand-held devices and wall-mounted work-lights.
Established in 1842, the company operated under 'G. V. Frydenlund & Son' until 1887, when J. A. V. Harnisch purchased the company, and began trading under the 'Harnisch' name. His son, G..V.A. Harnisch, was trained as a coppersmith and inherited the company after his fathers death in 1922. This 'GV Harnisch' signed pair dates to circa 1930-1940.
