Pocket Solargraph by L.D. Sullivan & Son. Dated '1878', ornately signed 'L.D.S'. Finely crafted by notable Boston silversmith, Julius L.D. Sullivan (1833-1888). Paper dial with fixed brass gnomon. Cardinal has 4 cardinal directions. A true pocket sundial, not made for wear on a chain. Divisions of 15 minutes, from 4 AM to 8 PM. Arabic numeral paper dial & compass face. American made.
