1790 Kleininger Diptych

Made in Fürth, Germany circa 1790 by Johann Georg Kleininger (1763-1824), featuring ornate design with beautiful hand-coloured detail. Featuring a gazeteer on cover for 22 American & European cities. String gnomon designed for use near 50 degree latitude. Signed 'Kleininger' on compass rose. Original, authentic, and functioning piece.
