An excellent late-19th century American Astral (Globe) Banquet Lamp. A  remarkably early piece- this lamp is dated 1893 on burner and 1895 on reservoir. This exact design was later patented in its entirety by Edward Miller in 1895. The dating on this piece indicates an incredibly early model.

This lamp is labeled 'New Juno No. 2' on the reservoir and features all pierced brass. Four-clawed base supports an ornate 18-inch Corinthian-pillar style stand, above which a round engraved oil-burning reservoir houses an adjustable, singe-wick burner. Original 12-inch fitted glass chimney.

Perfectly paired with an exceptional matching Victorian-era frosted-crystal Globe/Astral shade with ornate scalloped gilding and detailed gold-etched floral accents. An excellent, handsome, and functional piece.

Featuring original glass with no cracks. Professionally polished otherwise original antique piece; non-electrified.
