Early electric pen. Unsigned. Brass case with steel needle. Three coils vibrate a steel needle. As the user writes, the needle perforates a sheet and creates a stencil. The stencil is loaded with ink and placed in a press where a roller squeezes ink through the stencil and creates a copy. This unique pen technology was popularized by Thomas Edison. Electric pen's were the inceptive technology and precursor to the modern day tattoo gun. Unique model with coiling built into the case, unlike Edison's models. Rare. This pen is the only known example.
