19th Century Waterbury Spring Driven Pendulum Bell Chime Clock

Waterbury Spring Driven Pendulum Bell Clock , circa late 1800's. H.J. Davies Crystal Gem Dome Clock. Features a 6 in. paper dial, black Roman hour numerals, brass bezel with crest embellishments, and pierced black hands. The brass spring driven movement has an hour count wheel strike mechanism with steel bell, gridiron pendulum bob with 2 silvered (faux mercury) cylinders, movement. Signed 'H.J. Davies, New York'. Walnut case features a center steel bell having a gilt finish, with rosettes on either side over angled mirrors and turned finals on a round base. Signed paper label on the back "Davies Sole Man'f, The Crystal Gem". Original finish, very good condition. Original patented design for Ansonia's Crystal Palace. Encased in high quality glass cloche, included with purchase.
